Group Counseling

Mount Scott Counseling periodically offers group counseling when there are a number of clients facing similar life circumstances. In these situations, group counseling can offer an opportunity for individuals and families to realize they are not alone in their struggles, to share insights gained in their own life experiences, and to build a support network as they work to improve their quality of life.

There are many benefits to participating in group counseling. Group members who are facing new struggles in their lives can benefit from the experiences of others, and those who have already taken steps towards overcoming their situations can reinforce the lessons they have learned by teaching others. In addition, for somebody new to counseling, groups can be a great way to get a feel for what counseling is all about without the intimidation of sitting in an individual counseling session.

All therapy groups are led by a qualified, licensed professional counselor. Most groups meet once per week; see below for specific groups currently offered. Contact us today to join a group!
